Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August, 1965 is an American actor. Her most well-known work is playing the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick got a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), an educator and therapist for families as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and said that she participates in Passover seders.
